abject, vile, Irish díbligh, Old Irish diblide, senium; seemingly from Latin dêbilis, weak, feeble (English debilitate, etc.). Zim. (Zeit. $$+24) has suggested *dí-adbul, "un-great", from adbul, i.e. adhbhal, q.v.
